was designed by Russell Manktelow, DC and Michael Silbert, DC for
their busy downtown Chicago office. It all started when Dr. Manktelow
noticed that when Dr. Silbert was dictating his notes into a tape
recorder, that he was frequently saying a lot of the same things for
each patient, and he had to stay several hours after the last patient
had gone to finish his notes. In addition, the cost of the medical
transcription was over $1,000 per month, took two days to get back,
and were full of mistakes. Realizing they were wasting their time
with antiquated and expensive documentation, they set out to find
a computerized system for documentation. They then explored many of
the options available, only to learn they did not meet their goals
and were very complicated. So they built their own.
The result of their two years of work and
in-practice testing was EZnotes™ –
quite probably the easiest, most natural patient documentation solution
